WIDE BASE CELL CUP (By far the most desired)           TO ORDER

Wide base cups are supplied in six colors.(Smoky, Green,Blue,Amber,Red and Orange) There is a prong sticking out the bottom of the cup which provides a means to hold the cup in place on a slotted cell bar. The prong is elliptical in cross section so the user can first insert the prong with the narrow section parallel with the slot in the cell bar, then simply twist to tighten.

Some Manufacturers frame bottom bars have just the proper width slot. Or if you have a table saw, you can cut your own cell bar.
Packed 10,000 to a box for $575.00.            Will ship any quantity over 10.

PUSH IN CELL CUP (The original)                                  TO ORDER

Push in cups are available in five different colors as shown. The different colors are  provided so the user may color code their favorite breed as desired.  These cups fit in a 25/64ths hole. What has proven to be the best way to make cell bars for this cup is to first cut  off about a two inch width of standard  thickness lumber. Then drill the holes, and then  rip off about 1/4 inch thick cell bars. The advantage of drilling the holes first,as described, is the prevention of slivers around the hole. When you get everything just right, the cup can easily be pushed out from the back side with your thumb.
Packed 20,000 to a box for $1,000.00.            Will ship any quantity over 10.

PUSH IN CELL PROTECTOR                                     TO ORDER

This cell protector was developed so we could install a cell in a nuc as it was moving down our nuc making assembly line. Naturally we wanted to keep the cell warm so this protector, with queen cell, was "pushed" in the brood between two frames. The long prongs positively held the cell in the desired position on the comb.
Packed 2,500 to a box for $150.00.                  Will ship any quantity over 10.

      TOP BAR CELL PROTECTOR
                                                                                                                                      TO ORDER

This cell protector was designed so the cell could be "planted" without disrupting the frames and take less time. However, for best results it should be positioned over the center of the brood nest or slightly to the rear relative to the hive opening. (To take advantage of the fact that the youngest bees always hang out on the far side of the cluster, relative to the hive opening) Many users re queen using this cell protector with 80% or better success ratio. In theory, when the new queen emerges, there will be two queens in the hive, which neither one of them favors. So they have a nasty fight and the one with the greatest vigor wins, and the hive has just been re queened.
Packed 2,500 to a box for $150.00.                   Will ship any quantity over 10.

                            QUEEN CAGES,
TWO  SIZED  COMMUNICATION  OPENINGS,
THREE COLORS, CLEAR, PINK, AND YELLOW
                                                                                                           TO  ORDER

The history of this cage goes back to about 1985 when we decided that we just didn't like the burr comb which the bees would build in the cavity which existed when an old style three hole wood cage was inserted between the frames.
Also didn't like the amount of work required to ready a wood cage for use.Put the retaining cork in the hole, pack the candy in,position the plastic sheet, then the screen and finally the staples.  Then fumbling for the cork when you were picking queens and you finally got her in the cage, now where is that cork?? And why pay to ship all that wood with postal rates which are headed for the moon?
So we started on what is now the umteenth revision, with each revision making some improvement over the previous version, until our die wore out after making about 3,750,000 cages.

From there until now a lot has been learned about how to keep that queen properly fed, happy and safe. The advantages of this cage are; Thinner, fits between the frames like a queen cage should, Lighter, doesn't cost as much to ship, Minimum of preparation time, Large hiding area for the queen to hide in when the outside environment is hostile, Hour glass inside shape on the candy tube to better retain the candy, 3 colors, frosty clear, lite yellow and lite pink, so the queen raiser can readily identify their various strains of queens. No fumbling for the cork, the little lid is right there, when you need it. A breakout bar in the bottom which, when broken out leaves a queen excluder sized opening which the bees may enter but the queen can't get out. Allows more gradual getting acquainted. A pheromone like scent is added to the material of this cage for the purpose of masking the queen odor for improved acceptance.   Golly this list could go on and on.

Now how about disadvantages?  Takes time to pack that candy tube, but that can be minimized if you make about an inch thick pancake and then push the tube into the dough, like a cookie cutter - - - - -
BUT that objection is about  to be eliminated by a revision which makes the candy tube a separate part which will be supplied to the user pre loaded in a sealed plastic bag. All the user need to do is snap the filled candy tube in place and they are ready to go!!                                       TO ORDER
Packed 1,000 to a box for $140.00.                 Will ship any quantity over 10.

                                                                             TO ORDER

Getting this grafting needle built was so easy a job that it couldn't be resisted. I'll explain - - - - -
A dental assistant had the good idea that certain Dentist tools could be made of plastic and be regarded as throw away tools. The company which does all my  work built the die for such a tool.  About the time they were ready to run parts it was discovered that a larger company already had an identical product on the market - - - End of Throw away dental tool die. - - - - But with a few minor revisions it became a grafting tool.
With replaceable die inserts the size and shape of the spoon can be readily changed. Presently we have 3 different spoons.

SMALL SHIPPING CARTON

This carton is used to ship a small quantity of queens or queen cells. There are pockets in the bottom of the carton to accommodate queen candy and water soaked sponges.
There are 20 sockets to hold the cages however it is recommended to use only 18 cages when shipping queens with no attendants until the user has become accustomed to balancing the number of bees with the anticipated temperature en route. If attendants are supplied inside the cages, the number of bees outside of the cages can be reduced.
This carton can also be used to ship queen cells by first placing a cell in a top bar cell protector and then place that in each of the 20 sockets.
